What is the Green Pitch?

The Green Pitch forms part of the African Sustainability Summit as an entrepreneurial pitching competition.  The initiative gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their innovative business strategies for sustained business performance or showcase their existing businesses.  The platform offers an opportunity to gain greater exposure, expand their network, polish their professional profile, make connections with corporates for potential collaboration, gain access to potential funding opportunities, and engage with mentors.

Green Pitch nominees have to measure upto a robust 6 Capitals scorecard to validate their net positive contribution towards a sustainable and inclusive economy. Finalists have the opportunity to go through a mentoring session with some of the top leaders of industry before their final pitching session at the end of the month at the Sustainability Summit.

This event is designed to showcase creativity and design-thinking to business leaders across industry and, in doing so, bridge the gap between formal industry and entrepreneurs. This is the key to Africa’s emerging economy.
